👋🏽 Hi there! I'm Brennan, but my friends call me Kenny. I'm a multi-disciplinary writer and JAMstack developer based in Calgary, Alberta, operating at the intersection of literary analysis, digital culture, and web development.
I founded Write Club in 2022, which is a creative collective for youung adults that currently has over 100 members, focused on fostering community and helping emerging writers find their truth through storytelling. We've raised funds for the Canadian Children's Literacy Foundation and Ripple Foundation while creating spaces where marginalized voices are centered and amplified.
I recently graduated with my BA in English (Honours) from Mount Royal University (3.8 GPA), and I'm the author of 9 published books—including poetry collections, essays, and memoir spanning over 1,500 pages. After a decade on Medium, I recently achieved my first Boost with "Mise en Place for Writers," a milestone reinforcing my belief that consistent, authentic work eventually finds its audience.
Through Berry House, I provide JAMstack web development and content strategy services with a dual mission: standard rates for corporate clients fund pro bono work for nonprofits and marginalized communities. I specialize in Eleventy, Hugo, and IndieWeb technologies, building fast, accessible websites that prioritize digital autonomy and human-centric design.
My writing explores the craft of writing itself, Indigenous identity, digital authenticity, and what it means to create meaningful work in an age of AI and algorithmic homogenization. I believe the most concerning aspect of AI isn't its technical capabilities—it's the fundamental crisis of faith it creates in our ability to trust authentic human connection online.
